Do I need an account?: No. Tap Continue without an account on the door and everything in the practice works. Sign in with Apple is there if you want your name on the house.
Why does the app ask for the microphone and speech recognition?: Only so you can recite a Word from memory and see, gently, where a word differs. Decline it and use Write instead; nothing is lost.
What do the reminders show?: A cue, never the verse text. That keeps retrieval retrieval. You can turn them off in You, or in iOS Settings.
The screen went black in the middle of learning.: That is on purpose. Hide and Recall go to true black so the Word has to come from you. Speak or type it, and the room lights again.
Whose voice is that?: Lawrence E. Adjah’s, the voice of the NIV audio Bible. Scripture is never read by a machine voice.
Which Bible is this?: The Berean Standard Bible (public domain). A few Words are marked NIV and used under Biblica’s gratis-use terms, with notice in the app. The text on screen always matches the audio.
What does it cost?: Two Paths, The Word and Encouragement, are a gift. The rest of the house opens as one yearly subscription through the App Store. Nothing is sold as a verse.
How do I remove my account or my data?: Open You and choose Remove this account from this device. Deleting the app removes everything it stored. Nothing is kept on a server today.
