What it means
Paul piles up every threat he can name and declares that none of it can cut us off from God’s love in Christ. The victory is not that trouble stops but that love holds.
The climax of Romans 8. Paul has listed tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger, sword. In all these things, not instead of them.
