What it means
The authority belongs to Jesus and is given, not earned. It is real, and it is over the enemy. Yet He immediately redirects their joy from power to belonging.
The seventy-two return rejoicing that demons submit to them in His name. Jesus affirms it, then tells them where their deeper joy should rest.
